I'm subscribed to rec.outdoors fishing, alt. fishing, and ROFF.

It seems that people post to the first 2 only in the evenings, but post to
ROFF during the day as well. (which I like, as I'm self employed, and when I
can, I research fishing)

Just curious. :-b

This varies a lot. You might like to have a look at some websites as well as

you should define deadbeats - mostly we have agitators who enjoy seeing
their name in print --even it is is noticed only by others of the same ilk

It's a fact. Some people will do just about anything to see their names in
print.

I like it, too. Never yet had a chance, when in the woods, to say, I
saw an elk and many of that ilk.

Someone try it at Yellowstone if there's a Clave there again next
year, with a bunch of tourons around sometime and wait for the
question, "What kind of animal is an ilk?" or, "I thought a bunch of
elk were called a herd."
