With the exception instead of an attraction for Bocelli, my current
version has matched or bettered that criteria for the past 31 years.
Allows me the luxury of spending time on flies.

BTW, I'll take cooking ability over choice of underwear any day.

hmmm... i have never spent much time in canada, but one's tastes
...change... over time.

any chance of putting me up this spring, say around early may?

Brown and rainbow streamer/weamer patterns. Thanks

Don't have those HTML docs anymore on this 'puter but I think I may
have a backup copy at my office -- I'm back there Friday and I'll
check.

Peter

Thanks. Would appreciate it. The patterns are great.

Going back to Tom's post, these streamers I'm working on will be in
two sizes: steelhead and resident trout. I'd like to send a few of
the trout versions off to the Penns crew so they can test drive them
in the spring. Some will be based on the weamer pattern while I'm
working on another style to use for the dace/chub/sculpin class of
baitfish.

For the Sculpin pattern, I'm looking at using a small Wilson or Salar
double turned up to avoid snagging when run deep. I'm aiming for a
weight balance that'll enable it to swim well and still get down.

Ever looked into keel flies? There's a book, "Fishing the Impossible
Places" and I suspect some info on the web.

yes I have but finding som eone who stocks otr can get the hooks
turned out to be a problem. Eventually made some out for 8XL hooks.
Noticed a tendency for them to spin when stripped so I stopped using
them. The spinning could've been the result of my hook bending or
poor tying but I started looking at other solutions after that.

I know Mustad makes them - maybe Walt or Bill Kiene could/would stock
them? If not, a Google search ""keel fly" hooks and "keel hook"
produced some, albeit not many, results.

Well, my telephone rang it would not stop,
It's President Kennedy callin' me up.
He said, "My friend, Bob, what do we need to make the country grow?"
I said, "My friend, John, Brigitte Bardot,
Anita Ekberg,
Sophia Loren.
Country'll grow."*

Ask not what you can do for your country, as what the country can do for
you.
Was Raquel Welch in that era of natural resources?

'63 was a little early for her. I don't think she got 'famous' until after
"Fantastic Voyage".

I think you're right, November 22 is coming up, still brings back sad
moments.
