Default Fly material help needed

Hi All,

I am trying to find stuff to reproduce a fly for my father. I posted a photo
on abpf this morning. The fly in the upper photo has a red plastic body
between the tube/hair and the beads. Does anyone know where I can find
something like that? That fly is something like 35 years old. My dad trolls
them for salmon and lake trout in Lake Michigan.

I order a tube tying thing to add on to my fly tying vise so I could do the
tube part. I can find everything else, just no luck so far on the red body.

Anyone?

Here is another one;

There is some advertising there, but it is not a nuisance, and does not
affect your pictures.

There are several similar sites that allow free photo storage/sharing ....
"free," as always, is relative

For some reason as I was taking my morning bike ride I got to thinking about
a debate I had WAY back in high school over subliminal advertising. My
opponent thought it was a good idea since you didn't have to waste conscious
time/effort on watching ads. I was, and am, violently opposed to that kind
of intrusion into my private 'space.'

I think advertising as gotten to be SO accepted that few people even realize
how much it molds them and controls them, or CARE.

IMHO, few things would be as positive, or as unlikely :-( as lowering the
level of advertising infiltration in our lives. I believe that MOST of the
trends we see in our culture ( a sick and dying one ) can be directly
connected to the power of ad-men to sell us anything they want, bad ideas
included.

Oh, oh, very sidetracked there, Larry.

BOnT, the other site I see used a lot for FF pictures is

In this case, "free" is merely free.

too simple for me, Mike ... I'm having an overanalyze day

Larry ( who is off to seriously wonder why about something else that doesn't
matter )

It often helps to wonder why,
why a trout should take a fly,
or why a man should take a trout,
in all these things there is some doubt.

Of course you may well gain your prize,
without the need to analyse.
indeed some questions on the matter,
may well your illusions shatter.

There are many things of wonder,
to which a man may slip and blunder,
You will never know unless you try,
and ask yourself, the question, why?
