I am looking for a fishing pole that can be used on commercial carp
fisheries. I approximatley £500 to spend. Can anyone recommend a pole for this use. Cheers |

Of course I can. but with a small outlay you can purchase Advanced Pole
Fishing (APF) and find one to suit yourself. If you haggle I am sure you could get a Garbolino 16m pole with the kit for that price. -- Don't go chasing crocks of gold, or you will miss seeing the rainbows www.eric-gales.co.uk Updated 01/11/05 "Ivon" wrote in message oups.com... There are many poles that would suit. It depends on the size of the fish
present. If you are unlikely to contact very large fish for example very upper doubles or 20s then an all round pole such as the Maver Inspiration. would suit. This is a 16mtr pole but like most poles it would be a bit of a beast at this length but fine when you take one or two sections off. You can pick this up for about £400. Do try and buy the longest pole you can as there will be times when you want the extra length even if you have to use a pole rest rather than hold it for any length of time. At around your budget the Diawa fast carping mat well be suitable. Try and get a pole that has a rating of 20 elastic even if you do not go this heavy. This should avoid that nasty noise from your no3 or no4 section! The long and the short of it is to talk to people who are fishing the sort of water that you intend to and ask there opinion. They are usually very co-operative and may even let you have a waggle of their pole to get the feel of it! For very similar fishing to that described by you I am at present using a Shimano Carp Cruncher or a Maver Medusa K. The latter may be available at around your price as Maver have now introduced the Inspiration. Hope the above is of some help. Best of luck, "Ivon" wrote in message oups.com... The best pole in this price bracket, by a 'country mile' is the Garbolino
