Default WHAT'S WITH THE SPAM?

It's getting into all the newsgroups. Can't we keep those worthless
humanoids, and their frauds, out,?

Not really. Some ISPs do a better job than others at
filtering SPAM but a persistent SPAMmer will always
find a way to SPAM.

For what it's worth my ISP is SBC and I've seen very
little SPAM lately on the Usenet newsgroups to which
I subscribe.

Depends mainly on your provider, and how efficient their filters are. I
rarely see any spam at all now.
