New here asking for fishing advice for Key West and Florida

Hi New here . I was hoping you might be able to give advice on good places
to beach fish in and around Key West in Feb. I know there are plenty of
charters but I want to fish off the beaches and / or piers if possible. I am
hoping for small and medium Barracudda / Permit Etc.
Any adivce is welcome

You can fish off of the White Street Pier on the southern side of Key
West. I don't believe you need a license and I'm not sure where you
would get bail.

I've never noticed people fishing off of Higgs or Smathers Beach, both
also on the south side.

Thank You I had found White Street pier on an internet tourist map, I am
realy glad to know that you can fish it.

I was hoping to use lures and spinners for the smaller and medium fish, I
understand I need a florida fishing license for any fishing but it seems
they are available in most tackle shops.

Is bail what we call bait ? "bail" where I am from is what you would call a
bond in the US to get you out of Jail I am chuckling at the thought of
needing "bail" to fish

I'm guessing that "bail" is a typographical error and should read "bait",
however if you fish without a license, you might need both! :-)
