Evidently the guy who caught the biggun has decided not to submit the catch
to the IGFA.

Here's a link to the story.

I for one think that he did the right thing and hope that he can legally
catch the fish tomorrow!

Fantastic. I've made a special bait for her and I'm heading out there
tomorrow. It's a 2 pound soft plastic human in watermelon with red flake
:-)

Nah that's the Dave Creature bait, it wears a dress, wiggles and chews gum
all at the same time. Looks like Mr. Vito will be able to make the MTC this
year. Talk about adding a wild card to the mix
!!!!!!!!

Will we have to warn goodwill and Saint Vinnies to stock up on XXL
dresses? LOL

I heard that earlier today, and I really think Mac came to the right
decision.....Being a bit predjudice, I want John to break the record,
but I pick Mac as my second in line favorite grin.

He says that they were taking turns casting at her. Which means they
could see her. So if she was fouled hooked there's a reasonable chance
that it was intentional. I can't find what lure it was or where she was
hooked, so it's all a guessing game. I think he realized this and
became a major part of his decision to not apply for the record.
