Default Thanks to all for fly rod and wading boots advice!

You might recall I asked for advice on fly rods and boots before a trip
to Montana (which was last week). Just returned this Tuesday and had a
great time. Fished the Beaverhead, Madison, Stillwater and Boulder
rivers over a four day period. Caught 50 nice size trout -- 16 to 22
inches (and failed to land about the same number). All catch and
release. What a beautiful area!

I ended up buying the Sage Launch on advice from people in this group
and the Chota STL boots. Both were simply outstanding purchases and I
am very thankful for the suggestions. Had a chance to cast a friend's
T3, which was just fine, but made me even more glad I purchased the
Sage (lower cost, better action, in my opinion).

Had a wonderful guide (from West Yellowstone) that I would very highly
recommend. Very experienced (13 years guiding), great sense of humor,
knows the rivers very well, and has tremendous patience (which was
good, since this was really the first time I went fly fishing other
than monkeying around a few other times). Info for guide:

I am for sure going back next year!
