Or, am I being way too generous here? Everybody who fails to understand what happens to a fire when you cut off the fuel supply step right up and be counted. Wolfgang who, if he is evil, must be human......so sayeth the high priest of violent death. Your analogy, as stated, would be correct. However, as with most people who are trying to prove an invalid point, you have ignored the truth of the situation. As any Californians/westerners can attest, even when you cut off the fuel, a fire can "jump" and start again. The fire, (fundamental Islamic terrorism), will always seek out fresh fuels. And I believe 9/11 occurred before we were in Iraq and Afghanistan "providing fuel"? The "fire" in this case has a basic hatred for all things related to western society and has categorically stated their goal to be the destruction of our civilization. So the only way to remove the fuel would be??? You can try to make things simple, ( I know it's a necessity for you), but this is far from a simple subject. The proof will be in the pudding so to speak. I have no doubt we will have a democratic president after the next election. That president will more or less withdraw from the current conflicts. According to your premise all terrorism should stop at that point. We'll see. As for your insulting remarks at Dave's loss? Nothing........I just can't find the right words. Even for Usenet, you are colossal dumbass. And I'm sure it will come as no surprise to anyone who has known you as long as we have that finding the right words is a herculean task for you under the most auspicious of circumstances. Have you counted how many people appear to be interested in dismantling your "arguments" articulately? Try it. It should be revelatory. Dumbass. Wolfgang and awaaaaay we go! ![]() |

Children shot or bombed in their homes always matter. Wolfgang who refuses to believe that he is the only one here who recognizes the issues under consideration. while i think i recognize most of the issues, i'm also bewildered by the the motives and/or need for certain posts in this forum...mine included. for me, reading a logical, thoughtful post about the issues is generally accepted and persuasive, even when sardonic in tone. once the personal insults and name-calling begin, i think the power of rational ideas are lost on most readers. of course, if sport's the game...one can become a player or not. some like dodgeball, others don't. some enjoy watching a fistfight, others don't. jeff |

Nothing at all. Mike, I believe that when your wife died there were many here, including those you feel are your enemies, who sent their condolences. An attempt to hijack a serious thread like Wolfgang and RW have attempted, make you no better. Think about it, sir. Dave |

![]() wrote in message ... David J. Babineau will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetary on Wednesday, June 28. DJ, as he was known to his family and friends, was killed in Iraq while serving with the 101st Screaming Eagles Airborne Division. DJ died outright; his two friends were captured, tortured and beheaded. DJ is my nephew, a decent kid who was doing what he always wanted to do - serve his country. He leaves a wife, Rondi, and three kids. DJ grew up in Springfield, Ma and graduated from the Science/Tech Highschool. We will travel to Arlington next week to honor DJ and do our best to comfort and help his wife and family. Dave, my condolences to you and your family. I am very proud of our young men and women who are fighting for liberty and freedom from opression around the globe. I pray that their sacrifice will not be in vain. john |

![]() wrote in message ... I guess I can be counted as a "pitiful little excuse for a human," as well. Op I'll take your word for it. I guess I missed your post in this thread, Wolfie was the only one I saw who made ignorant statements. - Ken No, the above was my only statement to this thread. While I didn't find Wolfgang's post particularly ignorant, I did note the ignorance of your posts. Op |
