Well seems like Pennsylvania fishing might be a thing of the past for me as
my boss has asked that I step up and move into another position. Unfortunately it would require me to relocate to either Ohio, Indiana or Kentucky, with Ohio being the leading choice as the office is in Ohio. But seeing as it's not too far from the Kentucky and Indiana border and I don't mind to travel a bit, the other two states are an option. Now forget about quality of life and cost of living as a man has to have his priorities straight, Where would you go to fish? Still negotiating with the company, but if the money is right, I'm Outta here Advatages: Closer to The NWC and MTC and a bunch of guys on this here NG. With new found salary would be able to buy a real boat!! Dis-advantages: Every bit of our families are on the east coast and I wouldn't get to see Harry as much. Did I mention I would have to leave these great lakes up here? |

Say it isn't so.... Who'll look after "Herman"? I can't believe that you'd
have to leave our lake behind. "Alwaysfishking" wrote in message ... Between Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, for fishing... there is only one
obvious choice. Kentucky. "Alwaysfishking" wrote in message ... Yeah, if I was to choose between the 3 it would be Kentucky, unless I
was in the Northern part of Ohio :-) Charles B. Summers wrote: Between Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, for fishing... there is only one obvious choice. Kentucky. "Alwaysfishking" wrote in message ... Did I mention I would have to leave these great lakes up here? Wrong part of the state for me. I have fished all over the north west part of the state. Every farm pond and borrow pit of any size has bass in it. There are lots of borrow pits on private property along the Ohio Turnpike that could reward you with private undisturbed fishing if you can get permission of the land owners. Sunfish and bullheads are in the tiniest of ponds. Drainage ditches will often hold carp and catfish in the deep holes. Quite often under bridges there will be a deeper hole. I imagine any larger drainage that doesn't freeze solid will also hold bass. The Vermillion, Rocky, Black, and Mohigan rivers have all been fun places to go. I have canoed/fished the Mohigan and the Vermillion rivers. Lake Erie of course is reknowned around the country as a smallmouth fishery. Certainly I've caught plenty of big tasty walleye out off Marblehead, and perch literally by the barrel full. I hear there are some good trout streams/rivers in the north east part of the state and some that have good salmon and steelhead runs. White bass too are plentiful in Lake Erie with true back to back double headers very common fishing any warm water discharge in the fall. Its a very wet state (not as wet as some) but it seems that anyplace somebody digs a hole in the ground a pond will form. When I lived there I used to walk across the street from my grandparents farm and fish a small pond for a greenhouse company. We always caught bullheads and bluegill in it. In the next little town over they had a large recreational fishing pond in a public park. During the day I would walk around and talk to lots of people who weren't catching anything,.but on the few occassions where I rode my bike up there before sunrise I caught plenty bass feeding over obvious spots like gravel bars and stuff like that. I think you will find Ohio has great numbers of varied fishing opportunities. -- Bob La Londe Fishing Arizona & The Colorado River Fishing Forums & Contests http://www.YumaBassMan.com -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

It's beautiful country and GREAT fishing. Can you think of a better place for relatives to come and visit? Maybe Harry will follow you. Go West young man, go West! BTW, get a place with enough room for us Northerners to visit during hard water season! |

Randy, only an absolute idiot would call your post off topic. We are all way
