Does anyone out there in ROFFland know how to tie, and perhaps even have a
picture of, Poul Jorgensen's The Streaker?

JT:

Thanks, but no. This is a steelhead/salmon fly of the same name. The
Jorgensen Streaker is (as far as I can tell) a bare(?) streamer hook with a
Muddler-type head and a rattail wing of deer hair from the head. What I am
trying to find out is whether the fly has any sort of body, tail, or
underwing. (Probably not, as I think PJ named it after the bare-assed
streakers on college campuses, football fields, etc.)

Is the fly from this swap what you are after? If so, the fellow who tied this one might be of some help.

Vaughan,

Sorry I have been so tardy in thanking you, but I'm preparing to have a knee
replaced--darned thing kept me out of the water most of last year!

Yes, that's the fly, and I have been in touch with the tier, qwho led me to
the Jorgensen book from which it comes.

Many, many thanks!

GaryS

No problem Gary. It looks like an interesting fly. Similar to the "Streaking Caddis" that I use
quite often.

cheers

Vaughan
