I confess that in the excitement, I may have misread the note. Knowing in
advance you hadn't tagged your flies, I was actually prepared to do so; but
there was something in the note from which I inferred that you preferred I
didn't, so I sent 'em the way I got 'em. Oops, I guess.

Tis true that those little black bugs were the most frequent escapees from
their tags. I think yours happened to be one of the first packages I
opened, and about a half dozen were loose, no big deal; but a few more kept
falling off during the sorting & packaging. Still, it was a day before I
noticed they were barbless. Gorgeous little guys though.

I got mine as well, and they are fantastic!

However, several flyz came loose from their tags and I have one more fly
than I have tags? So I have three tags without flyz attached and 4 flyz?

I'm guessing, but Dave Martel's Zebra Caddis is the dark deer haired fly
with brown hackle collar? Marty Lee's Black Warrior is the tiny beadhead
nymph? Mike Bernardoni's #10 Ryan's Butt is the beadhead with orange body
and red tag-end? I also have a deer haired fly with bluish CDC and have
no apparent idea whose it might be?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes..my Zebra Caddis is the dark Caddis with the (not hackle) Ostrich herl
head. Great job, everybody....and mucho thanks to Joe for pinch-hitting for
Frank this year.

The boys/girls in our TU Chapters "Casting For the Future" will appreciate
the effort; and the flies.

Jeff beat me to my comment ("a very professional job, as always"),
but I admit it was fun to open the box and know which one was your fly
without even having to look at the tag. Of course it didn't hurt that
it was a TN Wulff; I don't expect there's too many folks on here who
even know what the heck that is. :-)

Anyhow, it's already in my flybox for my Smokies trip in May (along
with a bunch of the other flies you guys tied).

Nice work everyone. It's always a kick to see what folks in
different areas/countries carry in their flyboxes.

On my fly: It worked well for me in Canuckistan on some fish that
see a lot of pressure. It's originally from Australia, I believe, and
I added a few modifications of my own (like the clipped hackles on the
bottom to get it to sit lower in the water).

I plan to try it on the hillbilly fish as well.

Got mine and guess what? At first blush, my fly isn't the biggest one
in the batch. Will do a proper review after some house cleaning.
