Default Penns Accident

Got my trailer out of mothballs last Sunday (4/15). Fished Spring
Creek Monday and Tuesday and clobbered them both days- BWO emergers.
Monday it changed from rain to snow and back again several times but I
was catching fish. Fished Wierkert on Wednesday. I got one on a
stone fly at the mouth of Cherry Run. Friday and Saturday were both
very sunny and I saw maybe 6 fish caught both days! That seemed to be
the experience of all those who "reported in" to the Feathered Hook.
Jonas figures we're about a week behind in the hatch schedule. On
Saturday there were only a handful of grannoms visible at Ingleby.

There was a weird accident at the parking lot at the tunnel bridge on
Penns Saturday afternoon about 4 PM. As I came down the road in front
of the cabins and could see the bridge I could see the parking lot at
the end of the road was full. There was a PA State Police car parked
by the bridge. I turned around and parked to fish a few hundred yards
down from Stan's bend. A man taking a walk and coming from the bridge
told me that there had been an accident. A woman put her foot on the
gas pedal instead of the brake and slammed into 3 cars! How she did
that in such a small space I cannot fathom. As I got my rod rigged
two tow trucks came past me with cars that were obviously not
drivable. One had no front fender and the hood was smashed. Just
when you thought it was safe to park at the tunnel....

weekend we know the grannoms will be there in swarms..........Now you
know why I don't fish the tunnel to many crazy ladies that shouldn't
be driving my luck I would be walking on the tresle and she would
drive out and hit me.......Did you go by Clave Central did it survive
the winter please say yes............

good report, Gene. I only had to pay that woman a hundred bucks to scare
folks out of that lot for a couple of weeks. Should have that cabin stretch
to myself this
coming week!!

well, you were the one who said he doesn't drive over to that side of the
tunnelg. Heck, you'll be planted at Stan's if the fishing is good, and my
long legs will amble around the bend to meet up with you. My plan just thins
out the competition for both of us.....
Also, you better get there on Wednesday, or there won't be any fish left
that haven't seen a Coyote Ugly float over them!!

Yes Mike, I did walk up to clave central. I even walked up the hill
a little ways to try and see if the roof was unscathed. And yes, the
roof appears to be fine and dandy.
A very nice wrapping job I might add. I think you should make a big
bow for the top next fall. It will look like a Christmas gift - a
giant toaster.

I hope you get some overcast weather. Right now it looks like you
might.
