No, it wasn't the perfect opportunity because no one was around. They
*were* around at the San Juan when you faced Fortenberry and nothing
happened. I would have bitch slapped him, but you did nothing.
People saw it, RW.

I've been to several 'Claves, I've met many roffians over
the years and never once has there ever been a physical
confrontation with anyone. I find it amusing how rw and
Pittendrigh are such milquetoasts when I'm around and such
loudmouthed badasses when I'm not. LOL !!

You said it. I feel like I've just lit a match in a gasoline
refinery. Whew. I now admit that it was a naive idea...

You nailed it, Sandy. Spot on.

Look, we all know that Mike Connor, however knowledgeable, can be a
pompous ass, but Fortenberry is far worse. He's a preening, elitist,
attention-seeking gadfly who gets his kicks from from annoying people.
A keyboard coward. A thoroughly disgusting example and a waste of carbon.

Yeah I do, god help me, derive pleasure from poking fun at
the pompous. Last time I saw you, you were hiding in your tent
because I'd given you a dirty look and blown a double lungful
of Marlboro Red right smack into your face. You were rude and
disrespectful and all I wanted to know was had you seen anyone
else from roff and know where they were camping. Still smarting
from that are you ? Perhaps you wouldn't have had to hide in your
tent if you'd had a keyboard to protect you ? LOL !!

Let me put it this way, I am proud to annoy all the right people.

You are such a remarkable pig.

Its a good thing for you that no one was around at Henry's Fork when you
showed up while I was setting up my tent. They didn't have the pleasure
of seeing you run off like a little girl after I got in your face. My
biggest regret is that I didn't clock you. It was the perfect opportunity.

This is my last word on this thread. I'm not getting into a ****ing war
with a **** bag.

That doesn't mean it was a bad idea, just not really possible
given the history and the personalities here. This isn't kept
up anymore but the first couple of bullet points are worth
reading if you haven't already:

http://www.cs.nmsu.edu/~jcook/ROFF/

As you've discovered there is a wealth of fly fishing knowledge
and expertise here and a boatload of bull**** too, take what you
need and leave the rest.

Well, I've got a real name.

You are nothing but a "blip" in cyberspace ,

And you feel compelled to converse with blips.

and you would be well advised to remember it !

I will.

Ya still totin' that land yacht, Pirate? That's a helluva vehicle.

No, Scott. The bloody ship burned to the gunwales and sank.

Remember the season opener when Buffalo beat New England 31 to zip,
and the season closer when New England beat Buffalo 31 to zip? Well,
it was the last game and NE was up by a couple of tds. I went out and
started up the RV; everything looked fine. I went into the house, sat
down to continue watching the game and noticed flames coming from the
front of the vehicle.

Long story short, it was a total loss. I emptied four home fire
extinguishers trying to put out the fire, but when the battery
exploded, then the right front tire, and finally the TV implosion that
knocked out the side windows, I got back. By the time the fire
fighters got there (only 3 or 4 minutes) it was totally engulfed in
flames. Brought out the whole neighborhood. Fire department blamed
it on field mice or chipmunks making nests in the engine compartment.
Wire shorted causing a spark which ignited the dry nest, burst a fuel
line, and the rest was history. Lots of red tape before giving it to
the insurance company. The first thing they think of is arson, but
neighbors saw me start it up and return to the house and noticed the
fire about the same time I did. They were the ones that called it in.

The insurance company tried to give me more money than I paid for it,
but we finally settled on a price that was $18 less than I paid for
it. Almost three years old, 15K miles on it, and $18 less than I paid
for it, and they *insisted* it was a fair price. What's a pirate to
do? d;o)

We are thinking of buying another one, but it will be smaller. Want
to use it to fish West Branch of the Penobscot, EO (Kennebec), and the
Magalloway.

Dave
