Default Crayfish colors?

I have tried many times, unsuccessfully, to find a web site (or other
source) that shows the color variation of crayfish throughout the year here
in the southeast. Or, am I making too much of it and need only keep true to
"any color will do as long as its green pumpkin"?

Actually crayfish will change colors to meet their environement to some
degree. If you just want to see some variety of crayfish colors:

Thanks Bob, but I'd still like to know if their colors match the season.
When spring comes back around will they be more green or black or reddish
brown? What color are they after they molt their skins/shells? I'm stuck on
this issue because I plan on ordering some very realistic looking plastic
crayfish from a west coast vendor who has several colors to choose from.
Lord help me, why did I get so addicted to fishing?
