So, with all the copious writing that was on the wall for the year previous,
what would make anyone trust anything these guys have to say about anything?

I'm only half of a "fly fishing economist", but my take is the US economy is
gonna get notably worse before it gets notably better...

Bingo! Wait until Obama raises taxes. And perhaps you can tell me
why the Dem leadership in Congress went on a 5 week vacation while we
suffer with high gas prices.

It is gonna be a fun election; I win no matter who wins the election.

The entire congress went on their 5 week vacation.

As for "we suffer with high gas prices", you've never lost an opportunity to
tell everyone here how wealthy you think you are, so should you really be
including yourself in that "we"?

Assuming you're one of the morons who thinks we should immediately allow the
oil companies to drill in environmentally sensitive areas that are currently
off-limits, do you really think that will change the price of oil today?
If so, please explain as best as you can why that would be? That ought to be
good for a laugh or two.

It is gonna be a fun election; I win no matter who wins the election.

Really? Why?

Yup. The Dem leadership called for it.

Think they'd be ****ed if Bush called for an emergency session -
which, as president, is his right? Think they would pass a bill to
get more oil instead of squeezing us?

Hahahahahahahaha. Yeah, but if hate was a commodity, you'd be the
richest man in Massachusetts. Along with being the 2nd cheapest -
your buddy Kerry is first. d;o)

Yeah, the morons from China are planning to drill in the waters off of
the Florida Keys. Ya wanna bet if Congress ok'd drilling off the
continental shelf that the price of a barrel of oil would immediately
drop? "Environmentally sensitive areas?" Yeah, the north coast of
Alaska was the same thing back 30 years ago, and the environment
hasn't suffered one bit. Where they want to drill in ANWR is but a
stone's throw from where they are now drilling. You better hope Obama
doesn't win, 'cause it is gonna cost you dearly to heat your home
during those wonderfully cold NE winters. d;o)

That river in Egypt is apparently doing quite well, too.

why is everything with you such an imbecilic rant against Democrats? I
wonder, did you ever notice that Congress goes on a break every year in
August? Every year. Also,
did the Republicans offer to stay in Washington during August of an election
year? If so, I missed that news.
You make a poor argument for your point of view, unless the true intent is
to convince us that the GOP has become a haven for delusional fools.

why assume, when David seems hell-bent on demonstrating....

I figure he thinks he'll be gone before the bills come due for all the
mismanagement he's played cheerleader for over the past 8 years. Sadly, he
is probably correct, although his children and grandchildren will damn him
for it, someday.
