I didn't listen to him regularly, but I found him to be personable and
entertaining. My strongest recollection is when I was sharing an
office with another fellow in the early '90s. Barry listened to talk
radio incessantly, but I was the junior guy & didn't make an issue of
it. I'd tune out Rush, but Harvey would usually catch my ear. Aside
from the occasional factual liberties and his conservative bent, he
wasn't so bad by comparison.

What I remember most about that, however, was his seeming incessant
shilling for several products, notably Gold Bond Powder and the Bose
Wave Radio. I got so sick of it, I to this day refuse to purchase
either product, or anything bearing those brand names. That's not a
reflection on Harvey, he was just doing his job, and doing it well, I
suppose. He was definitely one of a kind.
