Casting lessons

Plan a big year of fishing -week in N.C. mountains in April--three
weeks in SE Utah in May- perhaps two weeks in Montana {if my knees
hold up } in July ---and lots of local fishing from kayak !
After 15 years of throwing my fly onto water and hoping I have
decided to learn how to cast! Do truly believe that 10 percent of the
fishers catch 90 percent of the fish so plan to up my percentage.

Need some advice --I plan to practice casting 30 minutes three times
per week for next two months. { old shoulders would not take more }
Should I use Lefty Kreh's DVD--thumb or rod-don"t break wrist-- keep
elbow level
or do you experts have any other suggestions.

Probably should have done this before paying a guide in New Zealand
who said --There he is - a good brown over by the tree -FORTY YARDS
AWAY--- a little short - want me to put your fly out there for you?

Find a Certified Casting Instructor. Pay for an hour or two of his
time. FFF instructors learn how to set up practice programs for their
students. When the wind reduces to below hurricane strength and the
temps rise above zero degrees Kelvin, I'll be back to my old training
program.

Frank, uh, ya can't reach 0 degrees Kelvin. But, if per chance you do
it, we are all in a world of hurt. Liquid nitrogen boils at 77 degrees
K, and we all know how cold that is. I mean, even Nebraska can't get
that cold (well, maybe 77 K).

But, if per chance you do it, we are all in a world of hurt. Liquid nitrogen boils at 77 degrees
K, and we all know how cold that is.

We warm it to the required 77 K on our BBQ's to steam corn.

I mean, even Nebraska can't get that cold (well, maybe 77 K).

Neighbor's dog went out last week to pee. Killed himself. Went to
pee, it flash froze in mid-air, dog came off the three point stance
and speared himself with the pee.

When all atomic motion stops, you can cut the air with a knife.... or
a really nice saw and use the blocks as a foundation for a pole
barn.

Shouldn't that read Colts/Jets game? (AFC)

For the first year in a long time, I don't have a dog in this fight
between the Saints and the Colts. Vikings had the game won with a
field goal. Why would he pass in such a situation? I was rootin' for
Favre simply because of his age. We old timers gotta stick together.
He is one tough sumbitch.

Well, you pagan idolater...heathen...

I don't think it too much matters because I know didly squat about the
methods you describe. Myself, I would change the schedule to 15 minutes per
day...BUT """"BUT"""

Find a place with a lot of windows. This could be an office building with a
large lawn...but most probably it will be a college dormitory with energy
efficient windows and a large lawn....The kind of windows that look like a
mirror when you are on the outside?...and that will let you SEE your
cast...much more helpful. That is not only the best place to cast, but the
best shot you have of picking up chicks who are into older men. Much like
fishing a dry with a dropper....
