The MRE's that we purchased were fairly fresh, after eating them, I can't really imagine eating one after it's been sitting around for 12 years. After that outing, the kids all voted that we bring fresh foods for weekend camp outs... ![]() Granted, if you are hungry, they fill the void. eewwww... JT |

Nutritious, long shelf life, hi fiber content, taste that discourages eating unless you REALLY need it, stout packaging to store in the trunk, and, in a pinch, can be sprinkled under the tires to get out of the ice. cheers oz, ever helpful |

Reminds me of wild hickory nuts.....never go bad,,, John True, that. Wild (the only kind there are.....unless one counts pecans, distinctly inferior cousins) hickory nuts have an extrordinary shelf life. I've read that they will last a year or more without going rancid. Tried to confirm this experimentally, but they always evaporate. giles. burp. |
