It's not just that, John. *My daughter and her family just visited and
they had to go through the scan and body search and it was very
demeaning. *That *has* to be against the Constitution. *What's next? *
Cavity searches? *When is enough enough? *What are we doing?

My understanding is that it is an either/or situation. IE, IF you
choose NOT to do the body scan, THEN you must get the pat down. One or
the other, no exceptions, or you do not fly. It may be that something
different is happening at Logan. Security there certainly has had its
problems over the years. I will be coming and going out of there in
the next couple of weeks so I'll get a look see myself to compare with
what is done in SeaTac.

I watched that video you posted. Those 2 Blonds really worked that
story up into a big deal. But if I am not mistaken the story was
covered by the Non-Fascist media weeks ago. By the way, it is pretty
normal for countries to weigh in on court cases that they believe
effect their citizens. The US does it all the time, and it is normal
diplomatic practice for the country where the court is located, to
facilitate access. The USA does it because we want the same access
when the interests of our citizens in other countries are involved.
You may not have been aware of this but you were also protected by
such arrangements formalized for military personnel in what are known
typically as "Status of Forces" agreements.

Real reporters and adult media take account of such things even when
it is a slow news day. But then they are not controlled by a foreign
robber baron, intent on overthrowing a sitting President thru
fostering a seditious Fifth Column of hecklers, impatient for Daddy
President to make all the problems go away right now.

Come on, Dave. You know better than that. Status of Forces agreements
were meant to protect U.S. Forces from the courts of the country they
were serving in, *up to a point*. If you assaulted someone, or
committed some other crime, you were tried by the military and not that
country's court. This has nothing to do with SoF.

BTW, I know of a CT chief (my supervisor in Japan) who killed a
Japanese citizen while DUI. He was tried in a Japanese court and
served 5 years in a Japanese prison.

not to be contentious, but the answer has been clear for decades: the
anti-individual rights justices appointed by the g.o.p. has hauled it
away, provision after provision, in mr. peabody's coal trains.

Dave I think your comments make some of my points as per the Arizona
situation. IE that it is SOP diplomatic procedure that Faux News is
hyping.)

And in a more humorous vein, Hey since Rupert's screaming Blonds of
Faux News are always pointing at our roofers, their office cleaners
and gardeners as "INVADERS," (after they pay them off the books of
course) , maybe a Status of Forces Agreement is exactly what Arizona
needs. (Laugh, it's a lame assed joke.;+)))

And do not assume that folks of my persuasion do not agree that the
border situation has needed fixing for a long time. And lets be
honest, it is time to take this work out of the hands of the beltway
bandits. But that is not a lib/con issue, and attempts to make it that
should cause you to at least question the motives of the Rupert's
Rightard Fifth Column.

Air travel safety.
Everyone a criminal.
Security myth.

Air security.
Fly standing up and naked.
Just you wait and see.

That might happen. Certainly wouldn't surprise me. But it won't
work.

Air travel safety? One solution.....EXACTLY one.....arm the
passengers.

Well, it would be nice to believe they went to that much trouble and
expense, but the truth is they simply wiped their asses with it.

Face it, Wayno, aside from you and me there ain't nine people in this
nation that gve a **** about the constitution. And that ain't all
that surprising when you consider that there ain't that many who have
read it.
