Wow
I've only fished the San Juan one week, several years ago, but I remember it having a LOT more water. Is winter flow normally this low or is the drought threatening the river badly?

The flow was 250 cfs, the lowest it's ever been, so I'm told. Normal at this time is 700-800 cfs (so I'm told). The reservoir was absurdly low. I think Bruiser said 70 ft. We drove over the dam on the way to the Animas. There've been three years of drought. It may not be a "drought," however. Some think it's an end to an unusually wet period.
