Is a pretty spread-out city, and this shop is in Tempe (pronounced tem-PEE for when you tell the cabbie), which is SE of the airport and city center. If you want to find a good supply of outdoor gear for a good price (tents, etc), then the Bass Pro shop is only a couple of km further east from the Tempe fly shop. Mesa is the next neighborhood east of Tempe. --riverman Well, I plan on staying an extra day and having a look around. I'm meeting with a couple of guys that work for Intel, where exactly remains to be seen. /Roger |

They probably have a limited inventory of waders, so to be sure they have your size in Simms, an e-mail and perhaps a small deposit may help. Good luck. Dave |

Frank Reid I didn't, but found him on FB. Interesting! My work is no longer about what I know (began with a MSc Engineering Physics), but instead whom I know. This probably being true for many more reading this newsgroup. The sad fact about climbing the so called "value chain" is that one becomes more and more detached from what initially was what one wanted work with (and probably was interested in). That and the fact that free time is becoming more and more scarce. This said, if I just could find more business associates that indulge in fly-fishing all would be well ;-) /Roger |

There is a Cabela bass in Phoenix and a Pro in Mesa, that is your best choice. A large number of short local fishermen's stores in Phoenix, but they will focus on the bass and catfish gear, I would be surprised if they are greater than the supply of gear for a Coke machine, FF, and if they have any high-quality waders.
