Default OT Humor: Husband shoppin' for Women

A husband shopping center has just opened where a woman may go to choose a
husband from among many men. The store is comprised of six floors, and the
men increase in positive attributes as the shopper ascends the flights.

There is, however, a catch: As you open the door to any floor you may
choose a man from that floor, but if you go up a floor, you cannot go back
down except to exit the building and you can never re-enter.

So a woman goes to the shopping center to find a husband. On the first floor
the sign on the door reads: Floor 1 - These men have jobs.

The woman reads the sign and says to herself, "Well, that's better than my
last boyfriend, but I wonder what's further up?" So up she goes. The second
floor sign reads:

Floor 2 - These men have jobs and love kids.

The woman remarks to herself, "That's great, but I wonder what's further
up?" And up she goes again.

The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love kids and are extremely good looking.
"Hmmm, better" she says. "But I wonder what's upstairs?"

The fourth floor sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking and
help with the housework. "Wow!" exclaims the woman, "very tempting. BUT,
there must be more further up!" And again she heads up another flight.

The fifth floor sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking, help
with the housework and have a strong romantic streak.

"Oh, mercy me! But just think... what must be awaiting me further on?" So up
to the sixth floor she goes.

The sixth floor sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 123,456,789,012,345 to this floor. There are no
men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are
impossible to please.

Thank you for shopping at HusbandMart

Op --just passin' along superior knowledge--

Hey, Op, I can't help but wondering, and I'm
impolite enough to ask: did something
happen to that budding romance of yours ?

The ******* found some chi........um.......heh, heh,.....never mind.

Wolfgang
it's o.k., i'm over it.

Thanks for remindin' me Greg, just as the tears had, finally, dried-up!
Snake let me down very easily. I am now an internet stalker, again.

Op --her words we "You sorry piece-o-****, get out of my life!" I was
grateful for her candor.--

Hmph........just when you think the news can't possibly get any worse.

Op --when you comin' back down ta see your man-whore, and fish of

course?--

Not sure. The purchase of a house last summer......and keeping Jeffie in
beer and pasties for a week......put a serious crimp in the budget. I'm
giving serious thought to doing the Penn's thing in May if I can swing it,
and October sure is a nice time to be in the Smokies.

Once I get my finances straight and figure out how much *actual* time off
will be mine this year, I am goin' somewhere North, and WI seems as good a
northern locale as any. So, I'll let ya know for sure my dates and
destination. That way you can leave the state or go into hidin', long
before I arrive.

We'll save some fish and curds for you.

The temp. here--Lenoir area-- today is in the 70s, and no precip. to speak
of. I should have headed to one of my favorite, uncrowded and

undiscovered
streams today, but I have to pick Snake up at the airport, in Greensboro,
this eve. I think I will make plans to fish this week after work, before
the perdicted nasty weather moves in.

The thermomter on the front stoop says 26, the digital next to me at the
window reads 31.3, and the one oustide the kitchen window says 28. Taking
an average, I make it out to be roughly way too ****in' cold to fish.
Besides, the temperature is dropping, it's windy and it's starting to snow.

Tell Snake the boys all say hello.....and dump Opie.

I ain't heard back from any of the
second jobs that I have applied to, so I better get some fishin' in before

I
actually do get a second job. I'd try to get a job parkin' cars, but 4 &

5
star restaurants are few and far between in these parts.

Start your own list......you'll be amazed how fast the jobs open up.....and
just think of all that great food!

Sorry to hear that, Mark: she seems to be a
very interesting person.

Yes she is a very fine, attractive, fun, and interestin' person. Shed not
tears for me ROFF, as my name is not Strider!

I was supposed to pick Snake up this eve in Greensboro, NC, but her flight
out of Vancouver, BC, Canada, North Amerika, planet Earth was canceled due
to inclement weather, or so she said? I suspect that she is just toyin'
with my head. She likely knew that the weather and temp would be just
right, back here, to go flyfishin', and that I wouldn't dare take-off on my
own, knowin' that I was supposed to pick her up at the airport this eve. In
her diabolical way, she waited 'til just the right moment--to late to go
fishin', but not to late to wish I had gone earlier--to call and tell me she
wouldn't be comin' in until Tues.

Op --WOMEN! and I bet they control the weather too!--

Just read a good review of LOTR and Tolkien at salon.com.

http://dir.salon.com/books/feature/2...ml?sid=1033239

and

http://dir.salon.com/books/feature/2...ml?sid=1033237

And I don't think Opie was referring the Aragorn son of Arathorn, heir of
Elendil, but rather a peculiar fellow over on rec.backcountry.
