My last catfish was on the Green Goddess at just about dusk. I still can't
believe it... "AJH" wrote in message ... I think I will stick with bass fishing, bass fishing with catfish reels, What SW spinnerbait would you recommend for catfish? I have caught some nice cat's on crankbaits but not recently..I was using Shimano reels then..My Abu's reels have religious parts, one clip is called a "jesus clip" when it flies off, at least that's what I say . I fish therefore I lie |

![]() "Spoonplugger" wrote in message news:%lMAb.591920$6C4.211086@pd7tw1no... The Linder's religious thing. I'm gonna wade in here. 1. Jesus chose fishermen as his 1st disciples. (Borrowed their boat to preach from) ...Jesus used a boat with which they made their living from as a platform (Literally) to share the Gospel... 2. Jesus knows where the fish are...and proved it to a bunch of professional fishermen. (Remember these guys had fished all night without anything...n cast your net on the other side of the boat thing???) Off topic, but very cool... ![]() 3. Paul was a tent maker by trade. He worked with his hands for a living...in his spare time he wrote 3/4 of the New Testament...made friends with these same disciples/fishermen. Paul most likely shared his beliefs with those who did business with him, and later died for doing so... 4. If you study the Old Testament, God always chose people who worked hard for a living to represent Him. In summary; If you have been savvy enough to be successful at a TV/Magazine enterprize...and you are a Christian...and you are blessed enough to live in a country which affords the right to free speech without persecution...why not follow the example set by your Leader, a close friend to a bunch of fishermen? Just my humble opinion... Suthern |

Too bad! I don't really know anything about the Linder brothers, but good
for them. I wish there were more people like them. Jeff "Spoonplugger" wrote in message news:%lMAb.591920$6C4.211086@pd7tw1no... I was just perusing the new Linder brothers website and I got curious about religion is it me or are they now really into the religion thing? I would not knock it at all to each their own and all and I always knew that the in fisherman was a Christian publication but the new edge stuff seems to have "come out of the closet" as far as religion goes. what bothers me about it and it is a very small bother is that it very subtly being pushed which I disagree with. anyone else feel that way? ok obviously the wrong idea was had here so to avoid people thinking I am an
anti religious freak which I am not ill try again for example if you bought some fishing gear from a reputable company and along with the fishing gear came Tupperware catalogs and advertising telling you that you should be using Tupperware would it bug you? I mean those that use Tupperware like Tupperware so you should too. as I said in the original post I like and respect the Linders for what they do if they choose to have lily pad revivals every Sunday it would not bother me I was mearly curious if the way it was packaged bothered anyone else. that's it if your a ford driver and someone says Chevy is better does that bug you? this was not meant to bring religion into the center of this and I probably should have formed the question a lot better than I did.
