Default How a lake can change in just a few days...

Last weekend Joe and I fished a club tourny, only weighing in one fish in
the six hours time. Tonight, in the period of about three hours, I catch a
bluegill (I know, big deal...), a small mouth, and two largemouth.

The smallmouth was short, but creamed the black spinnerbait in about 6" of
water. The bluegill did too... the largemouth were 17" each, and weighed
about 3 pounds. I don't know if it was the lake, or the Mega Strike...

I know there's alot of people here that do not believe in scents/masks...
but I think it did make a difference here tonight. I had been getting bit
most of the night, but the fish would just pick up the bait, then spit it
out. When I started using the Mega Strike, it seemed that the fish would
hold the bait for a long time. The first one held it, swam away with it, and
I was still able to get a good hookset. I purposely waited before setting
the hook since I had missed fish earlier. The second fish, and I'm not
entire convinced that it wasn't the same one, I set the hook immediately.

Oh yeah... the All Pro rod was excellent! I was determined not to come home
until I actually caught something with it.
