My starting battery is on it's third year, so I'm kinda thinking its abotu
time to replace it anyway. But, what voltage should the battery read while running the motor? My Garmin FF shows battery voltage to be around 11v most time, unless I'm running wide open without the lights. Then, it will go up to 12.4v until I slow down. Running the lights, gps, fish finder, and black lights, it drops to 10v. When I plug in the spot light... it really drains, and the fish finder will actually go off. Is it time to replace this one? Or am I just thinking about it too much? |

If you do not have any accessories running (except fish finder), I would
think it should read 14.4V. That is provided that you give it a few minutes to fully recharge. Jeff "Charles B. Summers" wrote in message .. . There is definitely a problem with that battery. It sounds like your
charging circuit is trying to charge it. Possibly a shorted cell in it. 3 year life is about average for most marine batteries. -- Bill Chesapeake, Va "Charles B. Summers" wrote in message .. .
