hooked a 6" brookie while fishing for bluegill with one of big dale's
psychedelic spiders, in a very *murky* pond.

Cool!

That figures a colorful fish for a colorful fly.

went back out this afternoon, and hit one of the local streams. i knew i
was in trout water, so just to see what would happen, i tied that spider of
back on, and hooked a rainbow with it - a little one. after having my
curiosity satisfied, i tied on a royal wulff, and brought to hand a gorgeous
8" brookie.

I've seen Browns and Bluegill coexist, but never Brookies and
Bluegill. Learn something new every day.

I got ya beat.

I nailed a 12 pound rainbow on the last pool of Sauk creek, during the
chinook run.

I think it was on a weighted muddler, I can't remember. I was so stunned
pulling a giant rainbow out of a pool that was nearly paved with chinook.

I think she was just so P/O'd that her pool had been overrun, that she was
hitting anything
