Hopefully Ivan won't scour the rivers out for your Anti-clave. Looks
like its gonna be bad. Well, at least you'll have time to catch up on
your reading.

nah...it'll be blue skies and sunshine in mid october...and the trout
will be welcoming. but, i do recall that the first organized roff
gathering was in the same area...and, it rained almost the entire time.
not much reading done that week, though we did study scotch a bit.

Well, I'm looking out the window right now and the rain is coming down
heavily. Plus the wind is picking up a bit. Driving around the Bryson City
and Sylva areas today, the Tuckasegee doesn't need much to start flooding
again.

I spoke to friend in Asheville who said news reports there say once they get
an inch of rain, the floods will begin again. They should have that by 8pm
tonight from what I can see.

Tornadoes hit us here in Athens, GA, around 3:00, and they were headed
north-east. It's rained a bunch, in waves, and the wind is picking up,
again.

No sampling for me for a while- When I was up in NC last week, we could
barely hold the seines, I can't imagine what it'll be like up if they get
another couple days of downpour ...

With Wolfgang's cookin' and Snakefiddler's fiddlin', it'll be interesting
either way.

Well, I don't know a damned thing about Snake's kitchen skills, but I can
guarantee that if I were turned loose with a fiddle THAT would be
interesting too.

In that case, it's pretty much a non-event.
