![]() "Wolfgang" wrote in message ... By claiming 'a perfectly civil discourse', I assume you are not referring to your post in Padishar's thread, then? not? Anyway, pretty fair assumption. As a matter of fact, given that the phrase "in what had previously been a perfectly civil discourse" appeared in what had been a perfectly civil discourse prior to Stevie's entry into it and that it clearly refers to the condition of that discourse prior to Stevie's entry into it and that there was no reference or even allusion "Padishar's thread" until after your appearance, I'd be willing to bet that your assumption is not only fair, but correct. I won't argue that stevie's post was meant as a jab at something; you guys are having your own love affair here that I won't get into. However you called me into this thread with a direct reference to what was posted in the other thread. And although the words "Padishar's thread" did not appear until I posted them, any effort now to say that you were not resurrecting our discussion here is pretty disingenuous. Unless you care to explain how I missed a point? that post was guaranteed to offend, To be sure. Of course, this invites any number of questions concerning who it was meant to offend, who it actually DID offend (and why), why one might or not find it offensive, etc., etc. Well, you're the one with the answers to those questions. Especially the first one. But if you insist on being offensive, don't be suprised that people who get offended point it out to you. Then too, there is fertile ground in various subsequent statements made by several other people. But, I suppose that's not the sort of thing we want to get into, eh? Not if its going to produce the type of fruit that those conversations with you usually produce. Or is that what we are supposed to be learning whenever you post something to the effect of 'lets see if they learned anything'? and came up in a perfectly civil discourse. And? And I see enough playground bullies in my job to recognize them when I see them, and you are a playground bully who hides behind the veneer of 'he started it'. Of course, in defense you'll just toss half-meanings and allusions around until everything is so obfuscated that you can pretend to dance away unscathed, while everyone around you is aware of the process. I'd appreciate any insight you may have to offer......teacher. Oh, I'm not so sure of that......lab tech. --riverman |

I'm not entirely sure that ignoring it makes it go away, however I'm quite certain what direction these converstations always take when you don't ignore them, and I'd rather continue looking forward to fishing with Wolfgang at a clave some day, rather than build up resentments.
