Been thinking of buying one of those new-fangled tackle bags with the
soft sides and the plastic containers inside. Was looking at Flambeau 4005st. Anyone have any comments on this product? Rich |

Rich Rich, I own a Flambeau bag, but moved on to the BassPro bag for one simple reason. The Flambeau bag did not have any sort of "frame" to support the lower half of the bag. When you removed a box from the lower half, the bad had a tendancy to fall over- if you pulled 2 boxes out, it was almost a guarantee that it would topple over. The bass-pro bag that I have contains a plastic frame that will support the bottom half even with a box or 2 removed. Kurt |

Rich, check them all SEE what works best with what you want to place in them.
I myself made my own.I went to sporting good store bought bag big enought to hold 7- 3700`s which gave me 2 sides left. 1 for rain gear& the other for weights& culling system.I just spray the bag every year with h20 proofing ,perfect now for 10 years "Eric Ryder" wrote in message ... I've had the BPS bag for 6-7 yrs and can not tear that thing up.It's easy
access an holds everything I need plus whatever I think I might need.I can even stuff my worm and spinnerbait tackle logic bags in it so everything is together. Rich Conley wrote in message .. . Anyone have any comments on this product? Rich I have a couple of bags. Had a softbag for years and bought (I think) shimano brand this year. Has a frame that holds the 3700 boxes. Like it much better than the older bag where I stuck the boxes in on their side pointing up. Holds one less 3700, but always take too much anyway. I also have a Tackle logic bag that holds the smaller boxes. Holds 4 boxes and this is what I keep the worms in. Makes for a lot less mess in the boat. The framed bag, has a large top pouch that will hold a 3700 tightly, but is great for putting a small box in to hold just hooks and weights and then an area to toss any used rig for temporary storage. Saves having the lure / worm flopping around the boat and I can make sure they are dry before storing away in the box. bill |
