I'm looking to purchase new spinning gear to mate to a Shimano Sahara. I
was going to get a 1500 with a 6' light action rod to fish crappie, blue gill, and the occasional stray bass and a 2500 with a 6'6" medium action to fish bass. BPS has a combo mated to their Bionic Blade that would be about the same price as buying a Galyans branded IM8 Fuji guided rod. By the specs they offer the same features. Even cheaper is the Galyans branded IM7. Actually, the Galyans salesman told me their rods come out of the same plant as BPS. Does anyone know how these rods will perform? Ryan |

The Bionic Blades are good rods. I've got about a half dozen of them and
when you can catch them on sale for $49.99, they're even nicer! "Ryan Rossiter" wrote in message news:vKbXb.30690$_44.28273@attbi_s52... The extremes are also on sale for $59.99, which is even better I think. Going out there tonight. Keith |

I put it down and picked up a Castaway spinner bait rod and tied the crank to it. I could feel the crank working much better. Its important to feel the crank working because a bass can eat it and spit it out before you even feel them. But if you stop feeling the crank vibrate you can set the hook. I have since bought a St. Croix rod for cranking, but I haven't gotten it wet yet. Richard g www.bassstalkers.com |

Galyans rods are made by the same people who make them for BPS. I live
near Indianapolis, IN which is headquarters for galyans. Galyans Med rds have the same specs as BPS Med HVy rods. Bps offers a better selection in lighter rods, while the galyans tend to be heavier. |
