It's supposed to be around 50 and cloudy all day with little wind and no rain. Just about perfect Congamon conditions. Put a couple drop shot rods and a grub rod in the boat and left everything else in the office closet. I'll probably chicken out and grab a heavy jig rod on the way out the door. |

Here in the northeastern part of THIS country, today (well Sunday was yesterday as I write this, but you know what I mean) was a wonderful fishing day. Cool with relatively light winds and cloudy, but with no rain to speak of. Went drop shotting at Congamond. Took Half-Day Frank with me. I got 15 fish -- 13 of them between 2-1/2 and 4 pounds. Frank got 3, all under 2 pounds. He was way too busy complaining that it was too cold and too windy to actually catch much. Caught all my fish in 8 to 15 in the AM, then the action kind of shut down and I had to go down to 22~25 feet after about noon. |

I think I caught a fish on every bait that I fished with yesterday, EXCEPT
the drop shot. I did have a fish nibbling on it in about 20' of water and though I was hanging on a rock, so I missed that one. That was the only bite I had on the DS. I did watch a bass come out from under a rock and try to nail my worm, and on the second cast I caught him. The only way I was about to get bit on the worm was to pitch the bait on top on a rock and let the waves wash the bait off. Had those days before... Everything was shallow here, and the Fluke prevailed with the most catches. Great day to be on the water, sad day to be a Titans fan. "RichZ" wrote in message ... Charles B.
