Default makin' out the Christmas list.....

Figure I'll put this wish on the list sent directly to Santa, rather than
the one given to family....

Since it come with a spare spool, I'd bet one of Wolfgang's tarnished wooden nickels
that rw would spring for it for ya.

I wonder if anyone would really WANT something like that ... I mean for
fishing, not just .... well whatever it is you do with conspicuous spending
stuff.... I don't have a clue.

I know that even if I had billions I couldn't really enjoy fishing with
tools I felt compelled to baby like works of art.

Opps, anouther boring Larry story coming up:

I had a good friend and hunting buddy that worked in a hardware store and
was anything but wealthy. But he scrimped and saved and bought some fancy
over and under 12ga. The first day he took it hunting we were in a
concrete pit blind.

Jim, normally a good shot, missed and missed and then, didn't hit, bird
after bird. I started to kid him with little mercy. When I had 6 of my 7
bird limit and he was still at 2, I really started to lay it on thick,
asking if he needed help, wanted to trade guns, had thought about getting
glasses, etc.

Then a kamikaze group of teal came though and I didn't shoot, wanting a
bigger bird to finish, but Jim emptied that fancy gun again, and, again
without the desired result. Jim, a big tough cowboy that was a bull rider
for years, cursed and scrambled up out of the concrete hole. At first I was
nearly scared he was fuming so hotly, but he dug down deep in his waders and
pulled out his pocket knife. Then he ran the blade edge down the stock and
fore end of his prize gun on both sides declaring, " I'm so afraid of
scratching this son of a bitch that I can't even use it .... THERE, ( blade
screeching on wood and metal ) that ends that ****ing fear." He got damn
good with that fancy gun after that and grew to love it.

Good choice. Those chintzy $1800 LH Design reels would probably lock up on
you at an inopportune moment. Ya gotta pay if you want quality.

Think I'll wait till they hit the close-out section.
