While, I'm heading out tonight after work for the long trek to soft water.
We have several feet of ice on our lakes here in Northern Wisconsin, and
almost as much snow. Can't take the cabin fever any more.

I plan to spen a little time at Old Hickory seeing the FLW. I have never
been to a pro event, so it should be fun. I am pulling the boat, and plan
to fish as much as possible as well.

Anybody have some good suggestions? From the reports, etc. that I have
read, sounds like I might be wise to try Guntersville?

Anywhere with open water will seem nice right now..

There is a Bama BFL on Guntersville this weekend - might check their results.
I fished yesterday with a guy that was heading up for it today. He says that
lake can be incredible but you have to learn which kinds of grass to fish. He
didn't tell me!

Too late Steve. I'm already sitting in my hotel room outside of Nashville.
Talked with a few of the FLW guys today that are not fishing tomorrow. They
said for them it was a tough two days. A couple of guys didn't weigh a fish
today. Temperature was 62 today, so it was nice just to just be on soft
water. Hard to imagine how much you can miss the sounds and smells of the
outboard...

Yeah... 62 degrees and I was stuck inside at work. The winds are even
suppose to be calmer tomorrow.

Those must be the same guys I talked to during the practice time Scott, they
weren't catching anything.I think the bigger limits are coming from up the
river, from the results we had on Old Hickory to what the pros (seem) to be
doing.
I live in Gallatin and will be at the weigh-in on Friday and Saturday.
