Default any overweight people have problems with waders?

I weigh 250 pounds, and my waders have developed wear on the bottom of
the feet. When I am in the water, especially in fast moving water I
feel alot of pressure. Has anyone who is overweight experience holes on
the bottom of the foot of the wader?

I dont walk around in gravel without my shoes on.

I'd look at pressure points. If the waders seem to wear at the same
spot, that would seem to suggest it's to do with how you distribute
your weight on your feet.

I'm a little heavier than you Steve. I've not had a problem with any pair
of waders I've owned except the pair of Dan Bailey's Jonah sold me at the
Feathered Hook. When I did a 3/4 Reid trying to retrieve an errant strike
indicator the darn big in the top allowed water to rush in!! Imagine
that!!!! Otherwise all soles, booties, boots, etc. have had no excessive
wear problems.

Do you wear gravel guards? How about a pair of socks over the outside
of your wader feet? Both will help prevent excessive wear from sand
getting between the insole of your wading boot and the outsole of your
wader. I really don't think its your weight.

Yeah, I'd avoid putting so much weight on my feet...you might talk to Frank.

When you mean *holes* do you mean visible openings, like 1/8 inch or
larger in diameter? I've got lots of holes in my Orvis breathable wader
feet but they are all invisible. I've made numerous repairs but new ones
keep reappearing. They are pinhole sized *leaks* not holes per se.
