Default TR --- I hate statistics

I keep my fishing journal on my website. I wanted a puter program journal
that did certain things, but couldn't find one I liked. A simple scripting
language designed to control browser output, is all the puterspeak I knew,
so I rolled my own and put it when I can access it from nearly anywhere.

Bored, on a rainy day around X-mas, I got the idea of having the entries
generate statistics. I sat down and re-wrote the script at that time.

Yesterday was the year's first that I unpacked a rod, and it leaves me
regreting the statistics idea

Cut and paste, here are my stats for 2005 :-(

Note: These statistics are calculated based on these rules.

(1) Anytime I rig up a rod and leave the truck it is counted as a day's
fishing, even if I never take a cast and or I'm back at the truck in only a
few minutes.

(2) My "fishing" hours are "truck to truck" times, rounded up to nearest
quarter hour. Thus, if I leave the vehicle, walk an hour, look for fish an
hour, make casts for fifteen minutes, take a half hour lunch, then walk an
hour back to the truck ... it will be calculated as a 3.75 hour day.

(3) Landed means to hand, i.e. I touched the fish and intentionally set it
free. If the fish escapes at the last second, it is recorded in the "hooked
and lost" statistics. Very small fish, for the water being fished, are not
counted at all.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Total 2005 fishing days, thus far, is 1.

Total hours fished in 2005 is, 2.25.

Average fishing time per day is 2.25 hours.

In 2005, I have landed a total of 0 fish, consisting of 0 Rainbow Trout, 0
Brown Trout, 0 Cutthroat Trout, 0 Brook Trout, and 0 other game fish.

On my best day in 2005, so far, I landed 0 fish.

On average, I have landed 0 fish per hour of fishing,

I have, also, hooked, but lost, 0 fish in 2005.
