I have read extensively about various actions available to the point it has almost become information overload. I realize that folks have their own preferences, and a particular action will dictate how a fly is cast. The rod will be used primarily for small stream trout and panfish. Advice of friends consist of full flex or mid flex. I would apprecite hearing from those using seven footers who would be willing to share their expertise and advice. Top of my list is the Orvis Trout Bum 7' full flex. Orvis will also produce a 6' full flex called The Flea which seems interesting. Thanks, Dick Take a look at this rod made by Damon Rod Co of NY. I have one of their 3wt 7 1/2 foot rods and I really like it a lot. He makes several different series so you can choose if you want a fast/med/or slow rod. I don't think you can go wrong with one of these. http://www.damonrods.com/ |
