Default help for a real beginner

Hi all.

I have been fished for many years for carp and other coarse fish and I am
fortunate in having access to many trout rivers and lakes so I want to give
it a go. The problem I have no idea where to start.

I am looking at rods and the choice is bewildering. Cam anybody give me an
idea on rod, reels and line I need. I anticipate using wet flies on the
Derwent, Dove and a numver of others as well as lakes and a couple of gracel
pits.

Bob
