Default One piece or two piece rod?

Do you guys think it makes a difference in performance if you use a one pc
vs two pc rod? I am going to buy a St Croix Avid rod and want to know if a
two piece will be any less sensitive or effective. I travel alot and 2 pcs
would be more convenient to deal with, but would not want to sacrifice too
much performance.
