![]() "Bill" wrote in message = ... Hi I have an old (about 37 years old) Edgar Sealey Blue Match 13 ft=20 fibreglass match rod. It's in good condition, anyone have any thoughts = on what it may be worth, I've had it since new and it cost=20 =A313.13shillings in 1976. Just had a quick look on ebay and couldn't see any for sale. As a (sort = of) comparison, I have a 12ft Hardy Matchmaker rod, bought new in 1972 = for =A316. Three of these have been sold on ebay recently for prices = between =A354 and =A380 - but those rods were all described as being in = virtually 'as new' condition, i.e. unmarked, undamaged and complete with = original rod bag and ferrule bungs. I still use my rod and, while great = for fishing, it's showing its age a bit so I reckon I'd be lucky to get = =A330 for it, not that I have any intention of selling it. Why not sign up for ebay if you haven't already done so? It's free and = you can set up an automatic 'favourite search' routine that will email = you whenever the item you specify comes up for sale - that'll give you = an idea of the sort of price you can expect to get for your rod. |
