Default Attempted to go to Deer Creek today

Have you ever had one of those days where nothing seemed to go right?
Well...today was one of those days! It started off with the West
Friendship Bank of America ATM being down, which meant that I had to
drive ten miles out of my way to get cash to pay the tolls on I-95.
The next snafu occurred when I reached the Churchville exit on I-95 and
realized that I forgot my map. I have never been to Deer Creek, but I
decided to wing it. After all, it was supposed to be in Susquehanna
State Park, and how hard can it be to find a park? Well…I missed the
third park route sign and ended up on Route 1. When I doubled back, I
took the wrong fork, and eventually ended up in Churchville. I managed
to make my way to the State Park, but took the wrong fork again and
ended up at Rock Run, which I had mistaken for Deer Creek (it looked a
little too shallow to support a shad run). I waited in vain for an
hour and a half for other members of the Patapsco Valley chapter of
Trout Unlimited to show up. As that portion of the Susquehanna River
is currently too deep to be able to wade out far enough to be able to
back cast, I threw in the towel and came home (bad luck comes in threes,
and drowning was not high on my list of things that I wanted to have
happen). When I finally took the time to look at map of the park, I
was amazed to find that all I had to do was drive down the road another
half mile or so and I would have been at Deer Creek. I knew that I
should have gone to Yellow Breeches Creek!
