I thought my search for the "vonderline" was over. I put some Stren on and
it performed very well. ....Until yesterday when the specter of ALL prior superlines came back. I usually cast a long way with a very strong "snap" of my wrist. It is necessary here on the TX Gulf coast and beside, I like it! Yesterday, I SNAPPED a spinnerbait right off of the line. Over the years, I've lost more lures during casting with ANY superline then I ever lost with any mono. I know that mono gives me some stretch, so my big SNAP cast (when I get a backlash) doesn't always break off. Am I the only guy with this complaint about Superlines? I'm using 30 lb with 8 lb diameter. I usually use ten pound mono??? Thanks , RichG http://groups.msn.com/CarolinaSkiffOwners |
