Default Diehards...are you guilty of being one?

So I am talking to my brother tonight, deciding what time were leaving in
the morning to head out fishing when he decides its time we actually stick
to our time schedule. We ALWAYS decide when we will start and stop fishing.
Example, we will leave at 3 AM, first cast hopefully by 4 or launch boat by
4 and start fishing shortly thereafter and finish a few hours later, we
usually say about 8 am or so. Well he tells me "I am getting tired of having
to wait on you. We say were going to stop at 8, you get out there and if
were not catching anything the sun comes up its 95 degrees, were standing
there pouring sweat turning colors and your steadily casting and we dont get
home until noon..your a damned die hard". He pointed out that there are
times when we go out and dont even get a hit, not one bite...which just
makes me fish harder...and longer. I always drive (HEHE) and he is at my
mercy. He also made it a point to remind me that we were crappy fishing a
few weeks ago and some 10 year old girl was pulling them in and we werent
having any luck at all and says he "You just had to do one more cast, then
one more, then one more until two fricken hours and one heat stroke later we
finally get to go home". Well I suppose I could be cast (pun intended) as a
diehard. I will fish..until I catch a fish. Period. If their not hitting on
minnows or shad, ill go to the old faithful worm or crickets or whatever I
need to use to catch ANYTHING. If I am Bass fishing, Ill use every lure in
my box if thats what it takes and if I am going after Crappy and they are
not hitting yellow, then ill switch to another color and another and
another. I might change spots 12 or 15 times. Ill do what it takes to get AT
LEAST ONE FISH! On some days when I am having no luck at all, it gets to the
point I DONT CARE WHAT I CATCH BUT I AM DAMNED SURE GOING TO CATCH
SOMETHING. To paraphrase Grant "I will fish this line if it takes all
summer" or winter, spring and fall.

So, are you one too? A die hard I mean. Feel free to add to this.

You might be a die hard if:
1. Your willing to stand in 100 degree sun, foregoing drink because you just
know "He's gonna hit on the next cast, or the next or the next.."
2. After having fished 6 hours straight without a bite, you keep fishing
because "Thier there, thier there".
3. The amount of money you spend on bait for each trip equals what it would
cost to take the family out for a nice catfish dinner.

I am sure some people can add to this.
