I knew I was coming to West to get WiFi connection to send some Moose
pictures to my Moose-o-phile wife. SO, I went to the Madison specifically to check it out for you Western ROFFians .... gad ain't I special? From Reynolds bridge the rods were flapping at about 4 yard intervals for as far as my old eyes could see. The upper lot at 3$ had about 6 cars, I couldn't see the lower area from the highway. I "fished" above West Fork for a short bit ( note: I've a confirmed flat water hatch hunter :-) http://www.kimshew.com/flyfish/displ...php?log_id=176 There were Salmon Flies around, but not abundant, at that area. The water seemed "about normal" to me, maybe a bit higher. I think that most FFishers that enjoy pocket/riffle water would find the Madison below Quake to be in 'prime time' over the next couple weeks .... Hope you Clavers have fun |
