Seeding a Lake or Pond for fish.

I cannot reply to the OP because I cannot find it, but you all may recall I
sent off an email to Georgia FIsh and Game to see the legality of it. Here
is the responce.

You don't say if this will take place in public or private
waters (such as a private pond or lake). There would certainly be no
problem with placing trees for fish attractors into private water
bodies
provided that the all land owners agree. He may need to get permission
before placing any trees or objects into public waters or where they
might cause navigation problems.

As far as chumming goes, it would be difficult and probably unnecessary
to artificially feed fish in order to keep them in an area. Some people
do feed fish in smaller ponds in order to get good growth rates. This
is
usually done with catfish and bream ponds. It would not be an illegal
activity in any waters, though, probably just an unnecessary one.

If he constructs adequate cover and good "attractor" areas fish might
naturally begin to congregate in those areas anyway.
