And I've gotta make a comment on this bizarre no-culling law that
Wisconsin still has on the books. I've privately emailed Steve some
time back ago regarding this really bizarre "no-cull" law that
Wisconsin has and he mentioned that it was an old out of date law
before the days of livewells "when stringers and buckets were the fish
holding devices of the day." With a couple of very small children (2
1/2 and 1 yr old), I knew the odds of me making up there was going to
be pretty tough...but I have to honestly tell ya that it was an easier
decision bc of this strange law. A lot of guys don't like to fish in
places where there are many regulations, rules and things that are
designed to limit one's fun fishing. I can't imagine driving a long
ways to fish a place...getting a limit early...and then being forced
to quit fishing. As I told Stever earlier...the more laws we have
like that...the quicker all our kids will be getting stoned and
playing video games on the boob-tube instead of going out fishing and
enjoying the wonderful outdoors...unless ya count peeps getting on
their jetskis and runabouts and creating some wake...

Coupla questions: 1) Were you fishing both weedbeds and cabbage
or just one of em? 2) In how much water did you find the fish? 3)
What kind of crank did you have the most success with (natural vs.
color) (wide wobbling vs.narrow wobbling)?
