dead snake
Today I had a snake guide on a "low end" rod break. I've owned a lot of
rods, from pricey to cheap, over a 40 year period and broken my share of blanks, but this is the first time I've had a "component" fail. I tend to make fun of guys that fall for the ad-man "image" b.s. that adds 25% to the ticket of "top end" equipment, so I felt I should also confess it when a cheapie fails to live up to expectation ..... fair is fair.
