Yeah - I was looking for a 6.5 or 7 foot, but this one called to me (and the price was right.) I figured "what does nine inches matter?" Er, wait, let me think about that statement. . . Do you have a reel to match it? I have a tiny Hardy reel (I forget the model) for my 6 foot 2 weight and have it spooled with WF #2 to help load the rod for the short cast (99% of the casts I make with it are 2 to 15 yds). The line lands so featherlight anyway I can't justify a DT for it. I have a BBS-II and a CFO-I, and I like the CFO on the rod a little better. The line I bought at the show is a WF (again, the price was right) and I was quite happy with the test casting. We'll have to trade rods for a bit the next time out. Glad you had fun on the cruise, you domesticated old fart. ;-) -- TL, Tim ------------------------ http://css.sbcma.com/timj/ |
