Default To Granpa Steve

One Granpa to another:

Hey Steve -- Congratulations. I can't think of anyone who will make a better
granddaddy than you. I think I told you that I became a grandfather last July
when older daughter Kim and son-in-law Ronnie became the parents of Emma. What
I haven't shared is what happened a month ago just before I set out on a
business trip to Chicago. Kim and Ronnie brought Emma out to our house on Lake
Buchanan for a Sunday afternoon visit. After lunch, Ronnie and I headed down
to the boat dock to see if we could catch some crappie. The bite was slow, but
I hooked a nice one just as Kim carried Emma through the boat house door. When
she saw the fish, little Emma started reaching out to touch it. I carefully
cupped it in my hand so the sharp dorsal spines were held down and harmless to
Emma's little hands. She was fascinated and rubbed the fish over and over,
then looked up at me as if to say -- 'Granpa -- when are you going to help me
catch one of these?"

Maybe you'd better order a lot of that pink thread.
