I met up with and fished with Uncle Wally and the esteemed Mr. Tom Brown,
last week and weekend. I caught up with the boyz at Greg's fantastic Optimistic RV and Campgrounds. The first day we met, we just fish down at the confluence of Ste_ls Cree_ and Upp_r C_eek, on Greg's property. Greg and Tom were tooling around the grounds trying to find the best place to set-up a cell phone amp and satellite thingy, while I proceeded to catch fish on a caddis emerger that I had tied up. Of course they said I would never catch a trout on what is more or less a dry fly, cause Uncle Wally said that woolly buggers were the trick for Greg's stockers! Havin' proved Greg and Tom WRONG! I had to show Wally up as well, once he arrived. Sure he caught a few more fish than me, havin' tied on some sort of Gramper pattern, but I chose not to step over the line, to the dark side! Tom, Wally and I were supposed to fish together on Sunday, but Wally begged off, claiming that his loverly wife would be upset if he didn't have the grass mowed by the time she got back from some state unknown? Anyway, Tom and I headed over to Stee_s Cre_k. I caught a few, Tom caught a few and we called it a day. I met up with Mr. John Baker and his lovely wife, Daribel, yesterday, at Grandfather Campgrounds. We have plans to fish one of Uncle Wally's favorite secret spots in the morn! Op |
